Sandra Romero lives her entire childhood between the countryside and the town, in that quietness that breaks the inevitable need to grow up. She went to Seville and studied journalism. There, she discovers her interest in stories and finds her own way to tell them through the films. She continued her training in film directing at ECAM.
She graduated with A ROOM OF ONE'S OWN (2019), which premieres at the Seville Film Festival. With her second short film, WHERE THE SILENCES PASSES (2020), which is selected at festivals such as Medina del Campo, SEFF, or the Inside Out festival in Toronto, she receives a Silver Biznaga for best direction at the Málaga Film Festival.
She is currently finishing her first feature film, POR DONDE PASA EL SILENCIO, developed in the Residencias de la Academia de Cine and previously in the CIMA Impulsa program, as well as in the Berlinale Talent and Script Station Lab 2022.
