Pau Subirós studied philosophy at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and later studied a master's degree in cinematography at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra. In 2005 he began working in the audiovisual sector, first as a sound technician, then as a producer and screenwriter, and finally as a director.
His recent work includes the direction of the documentaries THE BALCELLS CLAUSE and JORGE HERRALDE, ANAGRAM OF AN EDITOR, as well as the scripts for the feature films STAFF ONLY and THE PLAGUE, both of which have been premiered at Berlinale and traveled extensively around the world. He has received numerous awards for his work, including two Gaudí awards for best script and best film for THE PLAGUE.
At Anagrama publishing house he has published EL PRODUCTOR ACCIDENTAL (Accidental producer), a narrative essay about the world of independent cinema. THE INNER CODE is his first short fiction film.
