Born in Orihuela (Spain) in 1982, Elena López Riera is a co-founder of the collective “Lacasinegra”, which makes the feature film PAS À GENÈVE (2014), among others. Her first short film, PUEBLO, was screened at the Directors’ Fortnight in Cannes 2015. LAS VISCERAS (2016) had its world premiere at Locarno Film Festival’s Pardo di Domani competition. Her last work, LOS QUE DESEAN (2018) won the Pardino d’oro for best Swiss short film at Locarno 72 and had its international premiere at TIFF Wavelengths programme.
EL AGUA, his first feature film, will premiere at the Quinzaine des réalisateurs de Cannes.
