Alicia D'Amico was one of the best-known photographers of her time. She worked from the late 50's to 2001, when she died in Buenos Aires. Her best known work are portraits (writers and artists). And her most unknown photographs are dedicated to feminism, made during the last Argentine dictatorship until the end of her life.

She was a recognized lesbian and feminist. She was very discreet, but began a "investigation" (as she calls it in her few writings) about the female body and desire during the dictator of Videla. In this research she said that she wanted to photograph the real desire of a woman, not the representation of desire on the part of the male gender.

Throughout his personal life, she made a map of Love / Desire through her photographs and correspondence, after her death, the keys and accesses were erased: Is it possible to meet someone through her archive?.
