Salvador Sunyer

Salvador Sunyer (Girona, 1987) graduated from ESCAC Films (Cinema and Audiovisual School of Catalonia)

His first feature film, BUGARACH, was awarded at the St. Petersburg Film Festival, nominated for Best Film at the Gaudí Awards, and competed in International Festivals such as Hot Docs Toronto, Prix Europe Berlin, or IDFA Amsterdam.

As a result of his close relationship with the performing arts, he has been responsible for various audiovisual creations for theatres, as well as director of the feature film MIGRANLAND, and short films THE MISSING PART and RESTOS DE COSAS.

His works in the field of design have received various awards: one Silver Laus, two Gold Laus, and two Grand Laus, awarded by the ADG-FAD association, and the German Design Awards in the audiovisual category.

In the field of teaching, he has been a professor of the Master in Documentary at ESCAC, the Audiovisual Master at ELISAVA, and the university degree at EINA. He has lectured at the BCN Design Museum, the University of Girona, CaixaForum, or the Scottish Film Institute in Edinburgh.
