Maider Fernández Iriarte

Maider Fernández Iriarte is a filmmaker. Her work has been recognized and screened at numerous festivals and art centers such as the San Sebastian International Film Festival, BAFICI, Porto/Post/Doc, FIC Uruguay, Punto de Vista, Gijón, CCA Glasgow among others. Her first feature documentary, LAS LETRAS DE JORDI (“Jordi’s Letters”), premiered in the New Directors section at San Sebastian in 2019 and won special mentions at Alcances festival, L'Alternativa and Cinespaña festival in Toulouse. It was released in theaters in July 2020 and had an international tour through festivals such as Mar del Plata or Goteborg. Her latest short film, FE (“Faith”), won the special mention of the jury at the Malaga Festival in 2022 and premiered at BAFICI internationally. She is currently working as a director on the television program LO DE ÉVOLE and combines this work with the development of her next projects.
