Anna Giralt Gris

Barcelona, 1978

Filmmaker, Researcher, and Creator of new media. Graduated in Audiovisual Communication and Master in Social Communication Research at Pompeu Fabra University.

Her first feature documentary ROBIN BANK, has been selected in the official section at CPH:DOX, Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival, and Malaga Film Festival and had its commercial release in October 2022. His latest short film, 44 MESSAGES FROM CATALONIA, was produced by Field of Vision and selected in DMZ docs, and finalist of the Grierson Awards. She has directed and produced several short documentaries in countries such as Afghanistan, Iran, and Iraq, which have been recognized at international festivals.

She works as a new media consultant and teaches digital storytelling at Pompeu Fabra University. She also develops interactive and new media projects. Her latest work as co-writer and UX designer was the VR experience CHRONICLES OF A VANISHED CITY premiered at SXSW VR Cinema. In 2018 she was selected at the IDFA DocLab Academy and in 2019 at the Berlinale Talent Campus.

She is a co-founder of Artefacts, a production company specializing in film and technology.
