Sandra Romero

Sandra Romero is a director and screenwriter. Her first feature film, POR DONDE PASA EL SILENCIO (As Silence Passes By, 2024), was selected for the New Directors section of the San Sebastián International Film Festival and developed in prestigious laboratories such as Las residencias de la Academia de Cine, CIMA Impulsa, and Berlinale Talents. In 2024, she also directed three episodes of the series LOS AÑOS NUEVOS (The New Years) created by Rodrigo Sorogoyen, Paula Fabra, and Sara Cano for Movistar Plus+.
Her previous work includes the short films EL PERRO DE UN TORERO (A Bullfighter's Dog), presented at SEMINCI, POR DONDE PASA EL SILENCIO (As Silence Passes By, 2020), which won the Biznaga de Plata for Best Director at the Malaga Film Festival, and UNA HABITACIÓN PROPIA (A Room Of One's Own), premiered at the Seville European Film Festival.
