David Martin-Porras

Salamanca, 1982

Born in Spain, David worked as a production assistant for Pedro Almodovar’s Production Company, El Deseo. David got his masters in Directing at UCLA where he made among other films "Round Trip" (National Finalist of the Student Academy Awards) and The Widow (winner of the DGA Student Awards). David directed his first feature "Stealing Summers" in Buenos Aires with James Jagger and Sophie Auster. He is one of the episodic directors of the ABC/Disney DGA Directing Program. His short film "Inside the Box" was awarded at Valladolid Film Festival, selected in festivals like St. Louis or LA Shorts and nominated for the Spanish Academy Awards. Now is developing his next feature film, "A Texas Story".
