Silvia Navarro Martín

She is a filmmaker, sociologist, and visual artist. She first came into contact with cinema through video installation work linked to the archaeology of the image, created with archival film material. As a filmmaker, she co-directed the feature film DE LOS NOMBRES DE LAS CABRAS (2019), winner of the Grand Jury Prize at IndieLisboa and selected at festivals such as Gijón, L’Alternativa, ZINEBI, and Las Palmas. She has worked as researcher and documentalist for filmmakers Samuel M. Delgado and Helena Girón, serving as Art Director on their debut feature Eles transportan a morte (awarded at the Venice, San Sebastián, and Cairo festivals), as well as on La Lucha, directed by José Alayón and recently premiered at the San Sebastián Film Festival in the New Directors section. She currently combines casting and art direction work for different production companies while developing her new feature project.
