Sebastián Pinzón Silva

Sebastián Pinzón Silva is a Colombian filmmaker interested in exploring the collective conscience of his country through the immersive power of cinema. His work has screened at festivals including Locarno, True/False, SFFILM Fest, Cinélatino, Camden International, RIDM, FICValdivia, and at venues including MoMA NYC, MACBA Buenos Aires, and the Museum of the Moving Image. His film PALENQUE was selected to be part of Pardi di Domani by Locarno Festival during its 70th edition, Nuevos Creadores by the Cartagena International Film Festival, and New Directors/New Films by MoMA and the Film Society of Lincoln Center. Sebastián has a degree in Film and Television from the Savannah College of Art and Design and an MFA in Documentary Media from Northwestern University. He has worked as a director and producer for National Geographic and in post-production for Kartemquin Films. He is based in Chicago where he is part of Mirror Stage film Collective.
