Mikele Landa Eiguren
Bilbao, España, 1995
Mikele Landa Eiguren studied Audiovisual Communication at the UPV/EHU and the Film Faculty of Karlstad University in Sweden. She later specialized in creative documentary and experimental cinema at TAI University in Madrid and filmmaking at the Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola. Her graduation projects Heldu (2018) and Noizko basoa (2022) have been at several film festivals such as; San Sebastian International Film Festival, Zinebi, Punto de Vista and BBK Mendi Film Festival. Neska bat desagertu da (Gariza Films, 2025) is her first fiction short film. Currently she is working on her first feature Senda which has taken part on several developing programs such as Ikusmira Berriak, A Room of Ones Own and Casa Wabi. Her work focuses mainly on topics such as, the relation between society and nature, minority languages, territory and ancestral knowledge.
