Ian de la Rosa (aka Ian Garrido) studied filmmaking at ESCAC in Barcelona. In 2015 he directed his first short film VICTOR XX that was selected in more than 65 film festivals around the world and won several prizes including the Third Prize at the Festival de Cannes - Cinéfondation.
He later developed the TV show “Normal” for the Spanish cable company Movistar+ and co-produced the short film PORQUE LA SAL. Recently has worked as a screenwriter for the TV show VENENO produced by the Spanish private television Atresmedia and he’s currently developing his first feature film. With his latest short film, FARRUCAS (2021), he has been nominated for a Goya Award and winner of the Gaudí Award for Best Short Film.
