Àlex Monner

Barcelona, 1995

At the age of 23, Àlex Monner has starred in over a dozen films. In 2013 he won Best Actor at the Gaudí Awards for THE WILD ONES (Els nens salvatges), a role that also earned him a nomination at the Goya’s. He also was the lead in THE NEXT SKIN (La propera pell), for which he was nominated at almost every award in Spanish circuit. In TV, he starred in the original version of RED BAND SOCIETY, later adapted by FOX in the US. After spending a year studying in the New York Film Academy, Àlex he was chosen to perform in LIFE ITSELF, a film by Dan Fogelman. Nowadays, his first short film as a director/author, titled: UN CHICO CUALQUIER ROSARIO SOLO HAY UNA (An Average Boy Rosario a Leading Light), is ready to be released.
