Àlex Gantzer has a degree in Audiovisual Communication from the Pompeu Fabra University (2014-2019), and a postgraduate degree in Video Editing (2021-2022) from the same university. During her degree studies she participated in numerous school short films, always interested in the script and directing part, and during her postgraduate studies she explored the tool of editing in its most narrative side and applied to storytelling.

She co-wrote and co-directed the short film LES ALTRES COSES QUE ENS SEPAREN (The Things That Keep Us Apart), with funding from ICEC and MEDIA Europa Creativa, a piece premiered in the official short film section in competition at the Malaga Film Festival in 2021, and selected for other festivals such as Gijón, Abycine, D'A, Anchorage and Vilnius, among others. He wrote and directed the short film LA FOGUERA (The Pyre), with funding from ICEC and ICAA, which is currently starting its distribution phase with Marvin&Wayne. She is currently developing her new short film, "The spirited ones".

She combines her work as a director and scriptwriter with that of Development and Content Director at the Barcelona-based production company Corte A Films, where she leads the development of the company's projects and carries out projects such as "Darshan", by Alberto Allica, and "Cannes", the directorial debut of Goya-winning actress Bruna Cusí. Before joining Corte A Films, she worked at Fasten Films as a Development Executive, with films such as "The Volunteer" by Nely Reguera and "The Permanent Picture" by Laura Ferrés. And, before that, she worked at Oberón Cinematográfica as a production and development assistant on films such as "Petra" by Jaime Rosales, and as a casting assistant on the film "A thief's daughter" by Belén Funes.
