Alex Brendemühl was trained in acting at the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona and soon thereafter began his career in both theatre and television.
From his first leading role in 1999 in A BENCH IN THE PARK until today he has made an international career, participating in more than 80 feature films.
His experience as a screenwriter started co-writing Rafa Cortés’ YO (Fipresci-Award Rotterdam 2007 and Revelation of the Year in la Semaine de la Critique 2007). Afterward, he wrote and directed the short film RUMBO A PEOR (Worstward Ho), selected for the Official Competition in Festival de Cannes 2009. RIFIRRAFE was the second and RAROTONGA is the third and last of the “Mistake trilogy”.
