Alejo Santos was born in Buenos Aires. He studied Filmmaking at the Universidad del Cine (FUC) and Philosophy at the Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA). He works as editor in film and advertising. He edited several feature films including: "Pianist's Street" by Mariano Nante, BAFICI 2015; "Food on the go" by Mercedes Cordova, San Sebastian 2017; "Werkbund abroad" by Fernando Molnar, "Path to encounter" by the Palacio brother's "Alias Yineth" by Daniela Castro. He also worked in short films and as Assistant Editor for other nine feature films, like the last two films of Daniel Rosenfeld, "Cornelia in the mirror", Rotterdam IFF 2012, and "To the center of the Earth", FID Marseille 2015.He was selected for Buenos Aires Talents in 2015 and for the Berlinale Talents in 2016. As director he made some short films: "Killing a dog" (2013) selected at: Montreal, Mar del Plata IFF, BAFICI, and other 25 festivals, winning several awards. "Weltende" (2017) main competition of BAFICI 2017 and recently "SON" in the Argentinian Competition of Mar del Plata.
