Alba Gaviraghi

Alba Gaviraghi (Santiago, 1992) is a Chilean film director and producer who graduated from the Film School of the University of Chile. Dedicated to production, in 2017 she founded AGOSTO Cine and has produced short works premiered at Cannes, San Sebastián, Sundance, HotDocs, Chicago, Clermont-Ferrand, Sheffield, Tallinn, among others. She stands out for her pursuit of cinematic innovation, having been selected for programs such as MatchMe! Locarno, Talents Buenos Aires, and Berlinale Talents. She ventured into directing in 2020 and has directed four music videos to date.

Currently, she is developing documentary projects as a producer, series and fiction features as a screenwriter to Quijote Films, MAFI.TV independent and to other companies.

Her first short film UNA FORTALEZA will be premiere at Orizzonti Corti in the Venice Film Festival 2026, and her first fiction feature HIJAS ÚNIKAS, is in its final stages of production and looking for a International Premiere.

That projects has been awarded CORFO Development, the Audiovisual Fund for Script Rewriting, Ibermedia Development, the National Feature Film Production Fund (MINCAP), Ibermedia Co-production, among other funds, labs, and markets that have chosen to support this new facet of her career.
