From a young age, she has written and directed short films which have been shown and have won awards at countless festivals and museums around the world. In 2015 she won the Grand Jury Prize for Best Film at the Jameson Notodofilmfest for her most recent short film EJERCICIO 2: FICCIÓN.

MALPARTIDA FLUXUS VILLAGE was her first feature-length film. This work, devoted to the German artist Wolf Vostell and his Fluxus Museum in the little Extremaduran town of Malpartida de Cáceres, was shown at over 30 international festivals and
won important awards (FILAK Grand Jury Prize, Grand Prize at the Alcances Festival, Avuelapluma Film Award 2016).
The documentary had a commercial release and is still being shown in museums, universities, and cultural centers around the world.

María was named a new emerging talent by the publication Variety at Cannes Festival. KAREN, her second feature film, was premiered at Seville Film Festival.
