Gonzalo E. Veloso studied Spanish Language and Literature, then focused on Theory of Culture at USC, UdC and Princeton University. Then he studied cinema at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, where he got the Master in Creative Documentary. He has also attended masterclasses and ateliers with artist and filmmakers such as Philip Hoffman, Daïchi Saïto, Víctor Erice, Eugenio Ampudia, James Benning, Daniel Canogar or Claudio Caldini. During 2014, he was selected at IV Encontro de Artistas Novos “Cidade da Cultura” (Santiago de Compostela, Spain) and "Inspiration Forum" at Jihlava IDFF (Czech Republic). He worked at Oliver Laxe's film "Aquilo que arde".
His works have been shown at festivals as Jihlava IDFF (Czech Republic), (S8) Mostra de Cinema Periférico, Festival de Uruguay, L'Alternativa, Play-Doc, Cineuropa or OUFF - Ourense Film Festival (Spain); art centers such as Seoane Foundation, Galician Cinematheque - CGAI (Galician Center of Visual Arts), MARCO (Museum of Contemporary Art of Vigo), Museum of Pontevedra or CGAC (Galician Center of Contemporary Art).
