Gloria Gutiérrez Asla begins her film studies in 2018 at the film and audiovisual school of the Community of Madrid ECAM where she specializes in the diploma in documentary filmmaking. During her studies, she makes several short films in the documentary framework as a director. Some of them, such as AQUEL DÍA, or WHEN I LOOK OUTSIDE, I CAN SEE THE FOREST (Cuando miro la ventana veo el bosque), a project that is still in development.

With her final project of studies A DANCE FOR THE END OF THE WORLD (La fiesta del fin del mundo), where she directs and directs photography, she is awarded in several national festivals: Among them the ABYCINE festival where she wins the First Prize, the ALCINE festival where she wins the Prize of the Community of Madrid and the Best Art Direction, in Aguilar de Campoo where she is awarded as Best Script or internationally at the Filmschoolfest in Munich where she wins the Prize for Best Documentary. The film also participates in Kasseler Dokfest and Festival Dei Popoli and at the 2Cool4School program at the Cannes Film Festival, promoted by the Spanish Government - ICAA, and took part in the university days of the Granada Young Filmmakers Festival, where she gave a masterclass on the creative process of the piece. Subsequently, she premiered the short film THE LAST BEGINNING at the 59th edition of the Gijón Film Festival. She is currently developing his first feature documentary, WHEN I LOOK OUTSIDE, I CAN SEE THE FOREST.

Parallel to her career as a director, she develops her work as a director of photography doing projects in the field of fiction and non-fiction as well as in music videos. She complements her training in this facet at the International School of Photography EFTI, taking a master's degree in cinematography.
