Teresa Sendagorta explores the limits of language and narrativity in fiction and non- fiction audio-visual works and is interested in the relationship between image, word, presence, time, memory, control and identity.She directs, co-writes and produces the feature documentary MOTHERTONGUE that was premiered at the Official Section of the Festival de Málaga 2016, and was selected in the Panorama Section of Documenta Madrid 2016. In 2017 it was also selected in the Official Selection of International Womens Film Festival, Sose International Film Festival, International Film Festival of Talca, Chile, at the Documentary Film Festival Lupadoc in San Sebastián/Rentería and by the Instituto Cervantes to be exhibited in Tunisia, Rabat, Tangier, Algeria and New Delhi.Among her short movies are OJALÁ–fiction 16 mm film selected for The Beaux Arts Circle Exhibition in Madrid and LA LETRA ES TUYA–non fiction piece selected in Uruguay International Film Festival, Arteficial Festival and finalist of the ACE awards.Teresa holds a Bachelors degree in Economics by The University of Buckingham, United Kingdom, a Bachelors degree in Philosophy from Universidad de Deusto, Spain, a Masters degree in Filmmaking by the Universidad CEU San Pablo, Madrid and a Masters degree in Contemporary Creative Practice and Audio Visual Laboratory from the LAV School 2016 also in Madrid. In 2009 established the production company Chisgarabis Kino where she presently works as producer.
