Roberto Martin Maiztegui

Madrid, 1986

Graduate in scriptwriting from the ECAM (Film and Media School of Madrid) and has a degree in Media Studies. He has also written the short films TAKE AWAY (Winner at FICUNAM), BOSTON and BRUNO, selected and awarded in film festivals around the world. SUSHI is his first venture as a director, was the awarded project at the Medina del Campo Film Festival and was selected in several festivals (ALCINE or Huelva Film Festival). As a playwright, he has co-written with Pablo Remón EL MILAGRO ESPAÑOL (The Spanish Miracle), winner of the SGAE Spanish National Theatre Award (Premio Nacional de Teatro de la SGAE). Currently, he is preparing a new play called EL PORVENIR. At the same time, he’s actually working as a screenwriting teacher for ECAM, the Rey Juan Carlos University and the writing schools Fuentetaja.
