Miguel Ariza (Madrid, 1996), graduate in editing from ECAM in 2022.
His work as a director focuses on the idea of memory, of the mark, whether through the YouTube comments that we leave behind or those songs that marked our lives. His work has been shown at festivals such as Documenta Madrid, D'A Film Festival Barcelona, Festival Internacional Márgenes de Madrid, Dock Of The Bay Documentary Film Festival, among others. He is part of the El Hechizado film collective along with Ignacio Peñalver and Nicolás Fernández-Montes.
As an editor, his recent work stands out in films such as ADOLESCENCIA INFINITA by Víctor Soho, winner of the special mention in the Corte Final section at Documenta Madrid (2023), or the documentary series EL CIRCO DE LOS MUCHACHOS by León Siminiani. At the same time, in the field of short films, he has participated in works such as CLEO VENDRÁ ESTA NOCHE by Aitana Ahrens and Miguel Guindos, winner of the Roel de Oro de Medina del Campo (2023); NO CONOZCO LA HISTORIA DEL FUEGO by Sara Domínguez, Luis Morla and Alberto Ruiz, selected at festivals such as FID Campus Marseille (2022) and Punto de Vista Festival (2023), and NIVEL DIOS by César Tormo, selected at the D'A Festival Cine Barcelona (2023) and Bogoshorts Festival (2023).
