Marina Alberti

Montreal, 1982

After completing her studies in Film Directing at de Universidad de las Artes de La Habana, she continued her studies at the Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión de San Antonio de los Baños (EICTV). She holds her Master's degree in Photojournalism from the International Center of Photography and Film (EFTI) and continued her studies with diploma courses in Film Editing and Production in Madrid, Buenos Aires, and Berlin. She was a visual consultant for the historical memory R+D+I project "Bosnian Bones, Spanish Ghosts" at the Goldsmith´s University of London. She has been a script consultant at EL VIAJE FILMS, where she has also served as executive producer in feature films such as BLANCO EN BLANCO (White on White) or THEY CARRY DEATH (Elles transportan a morte).

AITANA is her first film as director and will have its world premiere at the 80th Venice Biennale.
