Federico Esquerro

Buenos Aires, 1977

Federico Esquerro was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1977. He studied cinema at Universidad del Cine (FUC). During more than ten years he worked as a sound designer in films like LEONERA (Lion’s Den) (2008 – Pablo Trapero), CARANCHO (2010 – Pablo Trapero), ELEFANTE BLANCO (White Elephant) (2012 – Pablo Trapero) y TETRO (2009 – Francis Ford Coppola). In 2011 he won the Silver Condor award for the sound of Carancho. At the same time, he performed as an actor in films like SOLO POR HOY (Just for today) (2001 – Ariel Rotter) and NACIDO Y CRIADO (Born and Bred) (2006 – Pablo Trapero) among others. In 2010 wins the Instituto Nacional de Cine y Artes Audiovisuales (INCAA) short films script contest and he directed the short film EN CARNE VIVA (Flesh and Blood).
